About Us
James Griffith Salon
The James Griffith Salon opened in Venice, August 1, 1988, as an AVEDA Concept Salon. Next came their partnership with The Gasparilla Inn & Club in Boca Grande, opening a second salon , then expanding with a third location in Sarasota in 2008.
We are French trained hairdressers and James and his team were the first students in the United States to attend the world-famous Jacques Dessange Academy’s advanced training class when they branched out to NYC. The James Griffith Salon staff attends continual education whether it’s to hone their technical skills or learn about the newest AVEDA products launching. They are consistently voted “best of the best” in various categories among their local publications. In 2011 James Griffith Salon was named to the SALON TODAY 200 by SALON TODAY Magazine, the top business publication for salon and spa owners.
