Apprenticeship Program

Once you’re hired at JGS, you will be receiving a $1 million gift for your career; OUR WORLD CLASS TRAINING!
Oh, and don’t forget to make sure you have a passport, because we will be traveling abroad for advance classes!

At James Griffith Salon, you are opened to a world of top education and training in the technique of French haircutting, balayage, and color. JGS started 32 years ago with a dream and 2 stylists. Today we employee close to 100 staff in 3 locations and an in-house training program, on the Gulfcoast of Florida.

On top of weekly in-house training, you are also open to travel opportunities for advanced education world wide, and continued in person and virtual education with world renowned stylists.

As a young 25 year old hairdresser, James was introduced to Aveda, the salon business and training by Horst Rechelbacher, the company’s founder. It was through that relationship and attending the first Aveda Congress that James was introduced to the world of French haircutting. This changed everything and his journey to start his own apprentice training program specific to the French technique.

Great training programs seem to be hard to come by these days. Most don’t have the knowledge, experience, or resources to develop such programs and this is why we take great pride in our training program and in-house development with every single JGS team member.

When you become an apprentice, you are on a fast track to a successful career that you’ll be light years ahead of stylists outside of JGS who started instantly on the floor after school. In 5 years you will be so far ahead of them, it will be hard to catch up. So...who cuts your hair?

If you have any questions, please contact the salon you would like to visit. You can learn more by visiting our location pages.
